From
Mutare to Vumba
By car:
Drive to the main Vumba Road and keep following that road up, we are at the 28 km peg
Local transport:
Cars drive up to the
Vumba from the Total service station at corner of the Vumba road.
This is also a good spot for hitching up.
Transfers:
We do transfers from tourist office in Mutare on Monday, Wednesday and Friday around midday. We take clients back to Mutare on the same days, leaving the Vumba in the morning.

From Harare to Mutare
The distance between Harare and Mutare is about 270 km
By train:
A daily train leaves Harare at 9.00 pm and arrives in Mutare around 6.00 am the next morning.
By bus:
Local busses leave
Harare at regular intervals from the main country busterminal at Mbare, they
fill up and go.
Blue Arrow busses leave Harare on Wednesday / Friday at 7.30am, arriving in
Mutare at 11.45 am or on Sunday at midday, arriving in Mutare at 16.15 am.

From Masvingo to Mutare
The distance between Masvingo and Mutare is around 300 km, 473 km via Chimanimani.
By train:
There are no trains coming to Mutare from Masvingo.
By bus:
Local busses leave Masvingo at regular intervals (fill up and go), there are no Blue Arrow busses coming from Masvingo.

From Mozambique border
The border is about
10 km from town; you can catch a ride at the border or take a local taxi.
Turn right into Park road to go to town. If you do not want to waste time
in Mutare, you can come straight to the Bvumba by turning left into Park road,
follow Park road till it crosses the Bvumba road and turn left again. You
are then at the Total service station form where you can hitch or catch local
transport.
